🔍 When you need this tube
The tube must be ordered when:
- Semi-automatic kit installation: First installation of the automatic humidity system
- Old pipe hardened: After years of use, plastic becomes stiff and loses elasticity.
- Cracked or leaking pipe: Water leaks along the route
- Tube too short: You want to place the tank further away from the incubator
- Inadequate non-original tube: You used a generic tube that doesn't work well
- Preventive replacement: After 3-5 years it is good practice to replace it even if it is still intact

💡 Advice from 45 years of experience: Always order 20-30cm more than the calculated measurement. It's better to have excess tubing (you can cut it) than too little. Avoid sharp bends (minimum radius 5cm) that restrict flow.
⚠️ Before ordering: how to measure
Calculate the length you need:
- Measure the direct distance between the tank and the incubator
- Add 30-40cm for any curves and safety margin
- If the tank is higher, add theheight of the difference in altitude
- Always round to excess to the next half meter
Practical example: Horizontal distance 80cm + vertical difference 40cm + margin 30cm = 150cm → Order 1.5 or 2 meters

🔧 Installation
How to assemble the tube:
- Cut the tube to the desired length with scissors or a utility knife (clean, perpendicular cut)
- Insert one end into the plastic bushing (BOCC.148662) mounted on the incubator hole
- Pass the tube through the bushing to the internal tray/channel
- Connect the tube to the floating (97G) present in the tray
- Insert the other end of the tube into the tank cap hole (0083)
- Make sure all connections are secure.
- Fill the tank and check the correct water flow
- Inspect all joints: there must be no leaks.
Lossless assembly:
- The tube must enter with light pressure (correct seal sign)
- If it enters too easily → wrong diameter or worn tube
- If it doesn't fit → warm the end slightly with hot water (NOT flame)
🧼 Pipe maintenance
Periodic checks (every 3-6 months):
- Check that there are no losses at the junction points
- Check that the tube is not crushed or bent excessively
- Observe the clear tube: the water should flow freely without any trapped air bubbles.
- Check for absence of internal limestone deposits (if visible → replacement)
Cleaning (if necessary):
- Disconnect the hose from both ends
- Run hot water to remove any deposits
- For stubborn deposits: water and vinegar solution (50/50), leave to soak for 1 hour
- Rinse thoroughly
- Make sure water flows freely before reassembling
❌ Common mistakes to avoid
- Don't use garden hoses: They are too rigid and release substances into the water
- Don't use pipes that are too narrow: They limit the flow of water
- Do not crush the tube: Avoid passing it under furniture or heavy objects
- Don't make too sharp turns: Minimum radius 5cm to avoid blocking the flow
- Don't use too long a tube: Above 5 meters the gravity flow becomes insufficient
- Do not expose to direct sunlight: UV rays degrade plastic over time
