A customer from Rovigo called me: "The Limpia humidifier is constantly turning on and off, the humidity fluctuates, and the pheasant eggs are drying out." The IEC socket on the panel had oxidized contacts and was making poor contact. Simply moving the cable would shut off the humidifier. I replaced the socket, and it's been working perfectly for 18 months.
When is it needed? If the humidifier doesn't turn on even when plugged in , it turns on and off intermittently, or you see sparks when you plug it in. If the socket has burnt plastic or oxidized contacts, it should be replaced immediately to avoid a fire risk.
What is an IEC socket? It's an international standard (type C14 female)—the same connector found on PCs, monitors, and professional appliances. It guarantees safe connections up to 250V and 10A.
⚠️ Before ordering: Unplug everything, visually inspect the socket (are the contacts shiny or oxidized/black?), test the IEC cable on another device to rule out the cable as the problem.

Hinges are the small hinges that allow the transparent door to open and close properly. They seem insignificant, but if they break or become loose, the door won't close properly, and you lose heat and humidity.
Quick diagnosis: door that doesn't close properly, excessive play, broken or bent hinge, door that "falls" to one side.

The Fiem humidity tray lid , compatible with the MG and Astrale series, is an original spare part designed to simply yet effectively regulate humidity inside the incubator . During incubation, humidity is generated naturally through the evaporation of the water contained in the tray. However, when the ambient humidity is already high or excessive humidity occurs inside the machine, it is useful to reduce the evaporating surface to bring the values back within optimal limits. This lid allows you to partially cover the tray , limiting evaporation and stabilizing the internal microclimate. It is a simple system, but essential for successful hatching. Each Fiem incubator in these series is equipped with a standard lid , but having an additional one is always recommended: it can be used as a spare or for more flexible humidity management in variable conditions, by covering the tray with 2 pieces.

Without an intact and well-positioned support, the gearmotor vibrates, becomes misaligned, and the movement becomes irregular, compromising the delicate turning of the eggs.

The T/H probe is the combined sensor that detects temperature and relative humidity inside the incubator. It sends the data to the EVO Plus or MiniLed Advanced control unit, which adjusts heating and humidification accordingly.

Quick diagnosis: display showing "ERR" or asterisks (**), incorrect readings, temperature or humidity not matching the control thermometer, frozen values.

Slight decimal fluctuations are within the normal characteristics of this type of sensor.
