1 m. Fiem wet bulb humidity reading wick...
A customer wrote to me: "The wet-bulb hygrometer always read 100% even when the incubator was dry. I replaced the sock, which was encrusted with limescale and dirt, and now it works perfectly again. My mistake: I was using tap water instead of distilled water."
โ ๏ธ CAUTION - CRITICAL MAINTENANCE: The muslin sock is the most important component for the proper functioning of the wet bulb hygrometer. It MUST be replaced frequently and ALWAYS kept moist with distilled water. A dirty, dry, or mineral-encrusted sock will cause completely incorrect readings.
When to replace: With each new batch of eggs, when the sock appears dirty/yellowish, if there are white scale deposits, when the readings are unstable or stuck at 100%, or if the sock no longer absorbs water well. ALWAYS use distilled or demineralized water to avoid mineral deposits.
What's included: 1 meter of cotton muslin wick, enough for several refills. Cut to the length needed to completely wrap the thermometer bulb.
Basic rules: The sock must always be kept moist, use only distilled water, tighten it well around the bulb, make sure it sits properly in the water tank.
