💧 How the semi-automatic system works

The FIEM semi-automatic humidity kit includes:

• 5L Canister (0083) – External Tank (this component)
• Channel + Red Float (97G) – Automatic water level regulator in the channel
• 10mm diameter tube – Tank-incubator connection
• Plastic bushing (BOCC.148662) – Tube passage in incubator hole

Communicating vessel operation:

1. The tank is placed above or at the same level as the incubator
2. The tube connects the tank to the internal trays/channels
3. When the water evaporates, the float drops and opens the passage
4. Water flows from the tank by gravity to the correct level
5. The float rises and closes the passage

6. Connect the other end of the hose to the tank
7. Place the tank above or at the same level as the incubator
8. Open the cap of the tank to allow air to flow (otherwise a vacuum will be created)
9. Check that the water flows properly and stops at the float level

4. Rinse thoroughly
5. For disinfection: solution of water and bleach (10:1), then rinse very well
6. Dry completely before refilling

• Don't close the cap tightly: Air needs to come in to let the water out
• Don't use water that is too hard: prefer distilled/demineralized water
