🔄 The automatic hand that imitates a hen.
This grid is the heart of the turning system: it houses the inserts that separate the eggs into neat rows and, connected to the gearmotor, makes them roll gently back and forth, just like a hen in her nest.

Quick diagnosis: eggs that do not rotate, bent or deformed grid, inserts that do not stay in place, jerky or incomplete movement.

Solution: Original FIEM Adjustable Insert Egg Turning Grid, specifically for COSMO, COSMO EVO and COSMO ML incubators.

📌 Real case: A customer in Brescia with a COSMO EVO had the original grid warped after 6 years of intensive use. The eggs no longer rolled evenly, and hatching rates had dropped. He replaced the grid in 10 minutes, and the next cycle brought the hatching rate back to 85%.

⚠️ When to replace it: If you notice warping, cracks, or the inserts no longer staying in place, it's time to replace it. A damaged grid compromises the voltage and drastically reduces hatching rates.

⚙️ How the Egg Turning Grid Works

The egg turning grid is the supporting frame of the automatic turning system of COSMO incubators. Inside, metal separators (inserts) are inserted, creating neat rows of eggs. The grid is connected to the gearmotor via a joint: when the motor is activated, the grid slowly moves back and forth, causing the eggs to roll on themselves.

This movement replicates exactly what the mother hen does in nature: she rotates her eggs periodically to prevent the embryo from adhering to the internal membranes of the shell. Without proper rotation, the embryo develops poorly or dies.

📋 Exploded view reference: This component corresponds to number 1 in the exploded views of FIEM COSMO incubators. Useful for identification during maintenance.

🔍 When to replace this part

Replace the egg turning rack if you notice:

  • Deformations or bends: the grid is no longer perfectly flat and the eggs roll unevenly.
  • Cracks or breaks: points of structural failure that compromise stability.
  • Abnormal noise: rubbing or clicking during voltage supply.

⚠️ Why it happens and what you risk

Grills warp for three main reasons: aggressive cleaning with corrosive chemicals, or accidental impacts during maintenance. A warped grill causes irregular voltage.

The result? Embryos that stick to the shell and die, and hatching rates plummet. People often think it's the gearmotor or the temperature that's to blame, but the problem is actually the worn grid.

✅ Compatibility verified

This grid is specific for FIEM incubators of the COSMO series:

Series Compatible Models Notes
COSMOS COSMO Analog All versions
COSMO EVO COSMO EVO Plus With LCD control unit
COSMO ML COSMO MiniLed Advanced Digital version
⚠️ Important Note: This grill is NOT compatible with the SMART, INCA, CIP CIP, or MG series. Each series has its own specific grill.

🔧 Assembly in 5 simple steps

⏱ Estimated time: 10-15 minutes | 🔧 Tools: None (plug-and-play assembly)

  1. Turn off and unplug the incubator
Unplug the machine and wait for it to cool down.
  2. Remove the old grill
Unhook the grille bracket from the gearmotor pin (gray disk). Lift the grille and remove it.
  3. Place the new grid
Place the new grille on the bottom mesh, aligning the bracket with the gearmotor pin.
  4. Hook up to the gearmotor
Insert the grill bracket onto the cylindrical metal pin of the gearmotor. It should fit securely.
  5. Final test
Reconnect the incubator, turn it on, and check that the grid moves back and forth without jamming. The movement should be smooth and silent.

🛡️ How to make it last longer

  • Every 6 months: check that there are no deformations or points of wear.
  • After each cycle: clean the grill with a damp cloth and a gentle disinfectant (no aggressive products): Glutasan Fiem
📌 Signs of wear: If the inserts start to move in the guides or if you notice even minimal bends, it's time to replace the grill.

🔗 Spare parts frequently purchased together

🔗 Egg Turning Grid Insert

The metal separators that separate the eggs into rows. If you replace the rack, also check the condition of the inserts: they often wear out together.
FIEM Code: INSERT.CIP28-40-MG50-COSMO

🔗 Egg Turning Gear Motor

The motor that drives the grill. If the voltage is slow, erratic, or jammed, it could be the gear motor and not the grill.
FIEM Code: 117/F

🔗 Plastic Joint

The joint connecting the gearmotor to the grille. If it's worn or broken, the grille won't move even when the motor is running.

Replacement Fan 120x120mm (37/A) for CipCip...

€47.14
Availability: 1000 In Stock

🌀 The ventilator is the incubator's lung, distributing oxygen and heat evenly, saving the embryos from dead zones! (Explodson.3)

At €38.64 (excluding VAT) , the 120x120mm 37/A fan is the beating heart of the CipCip 28/40 and Inca. When it spins, it creates the vital circulation that eliminates deadly CO2 pockets and distributes the 37.7°C temperature evenly. Without it? Temperatures would be layered: 35°C at the bottom, 40°C at the top. Disaster guaranteed.

⚡ This specific FIEM model is designed for gentle ventilation during the first few weeks. It's not an industrial fan that dries eggs, but a calibrated system that maintains humidity while moving air. It's the difference between hobbyists and professionals!

⚠️ When should you replace it? If it makes unusual noises (worn bearings), if it runs jerkily, if it doesn't start consistently, or preventively after 4-5 years of heavy use. A slow fan indicates low hatching.

💡 *"A customer from Bergamo calls me: CipCip 40 with 50% hatching. Fan not working properly. Replaced with a new 37/A: next cycle 91% hatching!"*

Specifically designed for Inca, CipCip 28 and CipCip 40. Quality metal bearings for extended life.

🛤️ The tracks that guide the door into perfect movement.
When they are broken, worn or missing, the PVC door no longer slides properly, causing difficulty opening and loss of seal.

Quick diagnosis: door jamming, sluggish movement, broken or worn guides, door no longer closing flush. A small but essential component for smooth operation.

Solution: Pair of original FIEM corner guides (left and right) in durable metal for CIP 28 and 40. They guarantee smooth sliding and hermetic closure. Lifespan: 8–10 years.

📌 Real case: Verona farmer with CIP 28, right-hand drive broken. The door would jam, forcing him to force it open. Both replaced, now it opens smoothly and seals perfectly.

⚠️ When to replace them: at the first signs of wear or tear. Forcing the door also damages the PVC and other components.
