Do we really need to replace the entire grill?

Replacing the grill (basic procedure):

  1. Unplug the incubator
  2. Remove all inserts from the old grill
  3. Open the incubator and access the grill
  4. Disconnect the connecting arm from the motor (usually a clip pin)
  5. Lift and remove the old grille from the center pin
  6. Clean the center pin and the housing seat
  7. Place the new 173bG grid on the center pin
  8. Make sure it rotates freely without friction
  9. Reconnect the arm to the motor
  10. Insert the inserts into their seats
  11. Test the turning (without eggs first, then with eggs)

💡 Advice from 45 years of experience: After installing the new rack, run the motor for 2-3 complete cycles without eggs to check that everything is working properly. Only then should you load the eggs.
