The COSMO transparent door is the front window of the incubator that allows you to constantly monitor the condition of the eggs, check the thermometer and check the water level in the trays, all without opening the machine.
Every time you open the incubator, you lose heat and humidity that the machine then has to recover. During hatching, even a few minutes of openness can compromise the chicks. The transparent door eliminates this problem: you can look, check, and close it again with your eyes.
The original FIEM door is made of high-quality transparent plastic, resistant to constant heat and high humidity. It maintains its transparency over time and ensures a hermetic seal thanks to its contoured profile.

At just €2.80 (excluding VAT) , the MEMB.TAST.DIG membrane is the touch control panel for the Smart digital thermostat. This thin film with printed buttons is what allows you to set the vital parameters: temperature at 100°F, humidity at 47-62%, and sensor calibration.
🎯 As specified in the FIEM manual, pressing the SET buttons accesses the reference values, and using the up/down arrow keys changes the temperature and humidity. Without a functioning membrane, you cannot control the digital incubator!

A breeder in Treviso contacted me about a strange noise from his CIP 28 incubator: "It sounds like something is scratching the fan blades." Upon opening the incubator, we found the protective mesh was deformed and touching the fan with each rotation. After replacing the mesh, the problem went away, and incubation continued without a hitch.
When is it needed? If you notice rubbing noises, the mesh probably needs replacing. Even after aggressive cleaning with corrosive products , or if the mesh appears visibly rusted, deformed, or has loosened meshes, it's time to replace it.
