It's designed to create the perfect climate chamber that maintains a constant 37.7°C and the necessary humidity, while allowing you to observe development without constantly opening the lid.

🌡️ The transparency of the material is no accident: it allows you to visually check the thermometer and eggs without losing heat. Any unnecessary opening can cause fluctuations of 2-3°C, which slows embryonic development, which is why an intact and well-sealed lid is essential.

⚠️ When should you replace it? If it has cracks or breaks, even small ones, that cause heat and moisture leaks. If the plastic is cloudy from years of use and you can't see clearly inside. If it no longer seals tightly, leaving gaps. If it has been deformed by excessive heat or impacts.

🔧 As the manual indicates, during the last two days of hatching, the lid must be kept tightly closed to maintain humidity at 62%. It's tempting to open the lid to watch the chicks hatch, but each opening compromises subsequent hatchings!

The lid should be replaced if: it has even minimal cracks that cause leakage, the plastic is opaque and no longer allows clear visibility, it does not seal hermetically leaving cracks, it is deformed and does not sit evenly, after impacts or falls that have damaged it, for hygiene reasons after numerous incubation cycles.

Remove the old lid by lifting it vertically. Thoroughly clean the incubator's support edges. Place the new lid, ensuring it is aligned. It should fit evenly around the entire perimeter, with no gaps. Use only a damp cloth for cleaning; never use solvents that dull the plastic.

Upon inspection, the metal support had warped and was no longer holding the tray in place. The support was replaced, and the problem was solved in 5 minutes.

When is it needed? If the channel moves, wobbles, or doesn't stay in place , the metal support is probably warped, bent, or missing. Even when replacing the channel itself, always check the condition of the support.

Female IEC Panel Socket for FIEM Ultrasonic Humidifiers – The power connector for the Limpia automatic humidifier. This standard IEC socket provides a secure electrical connection between the incubator and the ultrasonic humidifier.

A customer from Rovigo called me: "The Limpia humidifier is constantly turning on and off, the humidity fluctuates, and the pheasant eggs are drying out." The IEC socket on the panel had oxidized contacts and was making poor contact. Simply moving the cable would shut off the humidifier. I replaced the socket, and it's been working perfectly for 18 months.

When is it needed? If the humidifier doesn't turn on even when plugged in , it turns on and off intermittently, or you see sparks when you plug it in. If the socket has burnt plastic or oxidized contacts, it should be replaced immediately to avoid a fire risk.

What is an IEC socket? It's an international standard (type C14 female)—the same connector found on PCs, monitors, and professional appliances. It guarantees safe connections up to 250V and 10A.

⚠️ Before ordering: Unplug everything, visually inspect the socket (are the contacts shiny or oxidized/black?), test the IEC cable on another device to rule out the cable as the problem.
