          A customer from Vicenza called me worried: he could hear a metallic rattling noise from his CIP CIP 40 incubator on the 12th day of incubating pheasant eggs. After checking, we discovered that one of the fan's metal supports had come loose. Once fixed, the machine went silent again, and the hatching was successful.

          When are they needed? If you hear abnormal vibrations, metallic noises, or rattling coming from the fan compartment, or if you notice that the fan isn't perfectly centered, the bearings probably need replacing.
