🖥️ The communicative face of your incubator.
When the controls no longer respond, the writing is faded or the opaque plastic hides the functions, there is no need to change the entire control unit: just give it a new face: Front Panel For Miniled, Miniled Advanced, Evo Plus + Graphic Membrane

Quick diagnosis: If you notice worn buttons, scratches that make the displays illegible, or membranes that don't respond to touch, the problem is almost always this front panel. People often think they need to replace the entire control unit, but the internal "brain" works perfectly: it's just the external interface that has failed.

Complete solution: original FIEM kit with rigid plastic front panel + graphic membrane with conductive contacts. Compatible with MiniLED, MiniLED Advanced, and Evo Plud on all FIEM incubators equipped with these control units.

Check before ordering:
✓ Display works but controls are unresponsive
✓ MiniLED or MiniLED Advanced or Evo Plus control unit
✓ intact rear hooks

⚠️ When to replace it: at the first signs of wear. Waiting risks setting errors that compromise your hatching.

⚙️ How does the MiniLED graphic membrane front panel work?

The plastic front panel is the physical interface between the user and the MiniLED, advanced Evo Plus electronic control unit. Its main function is twofold: on the one hand it protects the internal circuits from dust, humidity and accidental impacts, on the other it houses the graphic membrane with conductive contacts that translates finger pressure into electrical signals that can be interpreted by the microprocessor.

The membrane is composed of two thin polyester layers separated by an insulating layer. When you press a button, the two layers come into contact, completing a specific circuit that the control unit recognizes as a command. This system is much more reliable than traditional mechanical buttons because it has no moving parts subject to wear, but after countless presses, the material loses elasticity and the contacts become less precise. This is why, during incubation, a command may not be registered on the first touch, forcing you to press it repeatedly or with greater force.

🔍 When to replace this part

This component should be replaced if you notice one or more of these symptoms:

  • Buttons that don't respond to the first touch: You have to press multiple times or with excessive force to register the command
  • Deep scratches or dulling of the plastic: The writing and symbols become illegible, forcing you to go by memory
  • Broken or loose side hooks: the front panel wobbles or comes off easily from the control unit body
  • Membrane that remains pressed: the display continuously shows an active command even without touching the keys
  • Yellowed or deformed plastic: prolonged exposure to heat or UV rays or aggressive products has compromised the structural integrity.

⚠️ Why it happens and what you risk

Faceplate wear is mainly caused by three factors: repeated mechanical stress (countless pressures during incubation cycles), exposure to high humidity that penetrates between the membrane layers, and accumulation of organic residues (dust, feather dust) that compromise the conductive contacts.

If you continue to use a worn-out control panel, you risk unknowingly setting the temperature or humidity incorrectly: you might press to increase the temperature by 0.5°C, but the command isn't registered, or it's registered twice, taking the parameters out of optimal range. During the critical hatching phase, this can mean the difference between an 85% and 50% success rate. Furthermore, continually forcing the buttons accelerates the internal deterioration of the control unit, with the risk of having to replace the entire electronic component at a much higher cost.

🔧 Assembly in 4 simple steps

⏱ Estimated time: 8-12 minutes | 🔧 Tools needed: small Phillips screwdriver, soft cloth, isopropyl alcohol

  1. Turn off and unplug the incubator from the power supply
Wait at least 5 minutes to allow the internal capacitors to discharge. Place the incubator on a stable, well-lit surface.
  2. Remove the damaged faceplate
Locate the screws securing the control unit's top panel (usually 2 or 4 Phillips screws). Gently unscrew and lift the cover. The front panel is held in place by side clips: gently pry it up with your fingers or a flat, non-metallic object to release it without forcing it. Gently detach the graphic membrane from the comb connector on the circuit board by pulling straight up without bending it.
  3. Clean and install the new faceplate
Using a cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol, clean the surface of the control unit where the new front panel will be installed, removing any dust or grease. Take the new graphic membrane and insert it into the comb connector on the board, applying even pressure until it clicks into place. Position the plastic front panel, aligning the holes and side clips, then press gently until it snaps into place.
  4. Final test
Replace the top cover and retighten the screws. Connect the power supply and turn on the incubator. Test all the membrane buttons, verifying that the display responds correctly to each press. Check that the front panel is secure and free of play or wobble.

🛡️ How to make it last longer

With minimal maintenance you can significantly extend the life of your MiniLED front panel:

  • Every 6 months: Clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth (never use aggressive products or solvents) to remove organic residues that may infiltrate between the membrane and the plastic.
  • Every year: check that the side hooks are secure and that there are no micro-fractures on the plastic due to accidental impacts
  • During use: Press the keys with the right amount of pressure (you don't need to press hard) and use clean fingers to avoid grease build-up that degrades the conductive contacts.
  • ⚠️ DO NOT do: Never clean with denatured alcohol, acetone or abrasive detergents that dull the plastic; do not expose the control unit to direct sunlight which yellows and hardens the material
📌 Signs of wear: If you notice that you have to press the keys harder and harder or that some commands are being registered twice, it means that the membrane is losing elasticity and it's time to replace it before it stops working completely.

Availability: 1000 In Stock
CIP Fan Protective Net CIP 28 / CIP CIP 40 – The safety barrier that protects the ventilation system. This metal mesh prevents debris, feathers, and shell fragments from entering the fan, maintaining air circulation and preventing noise or blockages during incubation. It also prevents the operator from inadvertently coming into contact with the fan.

A breeder in Treviso contacted me about a strange noise from his CIP 28 incubator: "It sounds like something is scratching the fan blades." Upon opening the incubator, we found the protective mesh was deformed and touching the fan with each rotation. After replacing the mesh, the problem went away, and incubation continued without a hitch.

When is it needed? If you notice rubbing noises, the mesh probably needs replacing. Even after aggressive cleaning with corrosive products , or if the mesh appears visibly rusted, deformed, or has loosened meshes, it's time to replace it.

⚠️ ATTENTION WHEN ORDERING: There are two versions – always specify whether you need it for CIP CIP 28 or CIP CIP 40 when ordering. The dimensions are different and are not interchangeable.

📸 Not sure which model you have? Send us a photo of the incubator's identification plate (located on the back) on WhatsApp – we'll immediately confirm which network you need.

Installation: Quick and easy. Always unplug before opening. The net is attached with just a few screws; no electrician required.

Hat hygrometer

€29.52
Availability: 97 In Stock
Wall-Mounted Hair Hygrometer – Reliable analog instrument for measuring relative humidity in incubators. Ideal for incubators without a wet bulb hygrometer or as a complementary monitor. Works without batteries or power supply.

A pheasant farmer from Vicenza wrote to me: "I have an old MG70 without integrated humidity control. With the hair hygrometer installed, I can finally monitor humidity throughout the cycle. Hatching has improved significantly since I started monitoring this parameter."

When is it needed? For incubators without a built-in hygrometer , as a visual check in addition to the control unit sensor, for continuous monitoring without replacing batteries. The dimensions are designed for the MG and Astrale series holes.

How it works: The hair hygrometer exploits the property of hair (natural or synthetic) to stretch as humidity increases. A system of levers transmits this variation to a hand with a graduated scale in %RH. It requires no electrical power.

Comparison with a wet bulb hygrometer: A hair hygrometer is easier to install (just insert it into the hole) and requires no water or sock maintenance. However, it has a slower response (5-25 minutes vs. a few minutes) and lower accuracy (±5% vs. ±3%). The wet bulb is specifically calibrated for 37.8°C, while the hair hygrometer is generic. For precise professional monitoring, we recommend the wet bulb; for practical, maintenance-free monitoring, the hair hygrometer is excellent.

📦 Logistics: Dispatch within 1 business day, delivery within 2-4 days. Warranty: 24 months for private individuals / 12 months for VAT numbers.
