The hole cover is a protective plastic cap that seals the air passage holes in the incubator's structure. Its function is to protect the internal structure (panels, insulation,) from moisture and condensation that forms during incubation, prevent the entry of dust, dirt, and bacteria that could accumulate in the structure's empty spaces, and maintain airflow while still allowing the ventilation necessary for operation. The BPA-free plastic material guarantees resistance to constant humidity without deterioration.
Replace the bushing if you notice:
Damage to the bushing can be caused by accidental removal during cleaning, breakage due to brittleness caused by aging plastic, or simply by losing the small component during maintenance. If the incubator operates without the bushing, you risk moisture and condensation infiltration into the structure, which can cause mold, rotting of the thermal insulation, and the ingress of dust and dirt that accumulates in the empty spaces, reducing thermal efficiency and hygiene.
