This egg candler is used to monitor the development of the embryos during the various stages of incubation in order to eliminate any infertile or unsuitable eggs that could infect other healthy eggs if left in the incubator.

  • The most powerful on the market: thanks to LED technology (cold light), it produces a concentrated beam of light obtained by means of a very powerful 500 lumen latest-generation LED, which, by illuminating the egg, allows you to see inside.
  • Maximum precision in candling: the egg candler comes with 2 ergonomic soft rubber heads that adapt well to the surface of the egg, in this way, there are no light leaks and the candling image is even sharper than the classic egg candlers on the market.
  • Embryo safety: thanks to its ergonomic design and soft rubber heads, it allows egg candling to be performed directly inside the incubator, making the entire process significantly faster, more convenient, and, above all, more hygienic. This reduces the risk of contamination or accidental breakage (eggs should not be touched during incubation to avoid contamination).

🛡️ Two vital functions in one piece: protecting the electrical terminals and holding the thermometer. The terminal cover is not just a cover, but an essential multifunctional component!

At just €1.90 (excluding VAT) , this component of the Smart model plays a fundamental role in two ways. As you can see in the exploded view (component no. 3), the MORS. cover protects the electrical terminals from humidity and accidental contact, but also serves as a support base for the 17A clip where the 05/A thermometer is inserted.

⚡ This dual function makes it critical: without it, you not only risk short circuits due to the exposed terminals, but you also lose the anchoring point for the temperature reading system. The incubator's constant humidity can seep into the exposed electrical connections, causing malfunctions or worse.

🔧 When should you replace it? If it's cracked or broken, if it's no longer securely attached, if the thermometer clip is no longer securely attached, or if you see signs of overheating on the plastic. A damaged casing compromises both electrical safety and the accuracy of temperature readings.

⚠️ Installation requires care: always unplug the unit before working on electrical parts! The cover is placed over the terminals and snapped on, making sure the thermometer clip seat is properly aligned.

✅ Compatible only with the Smart model (not for use with CipCip, which has a different structure). Given its critical dual function and low price, it's wise to keep a spare in the drawer.

CIP Fan Protective Net CIP 28 / CIP CIP 40 – The safety barrier that protects the ventilation system. This metal mesh prevents debris, feathers, and shell fragments from entering the fan, maintaining air circulation and preventing noise or blockages during incubation. It also prevents the operator from inadvertently coming into contact with the fan.

A breeder in Treviso contacted me about a strange noise from his CIP 28 incubator: "It sounds like something is scratching the fan blades." Upon opening the incubator, we found the protective mesh was deformed and touching the fan with each rotation. After replacing the mesh, the problem went away, and incubation continued without a hitch.

When is it needed? If you notice rubbing noises, the mesh probably needs replacing. Even after aggressive cleaning with corrosive products , or if the mesh appears visibly rusted, deformed, or has loosened meshes, it's time to replace it.

⚠️ ATTENTION WHEN ORDERING: There are two versions – always specify whether you need it for CIP CIP 28 or CIP CIP 40 when ordering. The dimensions are different and are not interchangeable.

R75E Silicone Heating Element for CIP CIP 28 / CIP CIP 40 – The thermal heart of your incubator. This 2.06 meter silicone heating cable ensures even heat distribution throughout the incubation chamber, maintaining a stable temperature essential for embryonic development.

A customer from Padua called me on the 10th day of incubation: the temperature was constantly fluctuating between 36°C and 36.2°C. After checking, the heating element had lost electrical continuity in one spot. I urgently replaced it with the original FIEM R75E, the temperature stabilized immediately, and the eggs hatched successfully.

When is it needed? If your incubator never reaches the set temperature , or takes too long to heat up, or if the thermostat is always on but the heat doesn't increase, the heating element is probably faulty. Abnormal temperature fluctuations can also indicate a damaged heating element.

⚠️ Before ordering: Unplug the power cord, disconnect the resistor, and measure the electrical resistance with a tester : it should read approximately 505 Ohms (2.06 m × 245 Ohms/m). If it reads "infinity" or significantly different values, the resistor is broken. Also check that there are no cuts, burns, or blackened spots on the wire.
