Its perforated structure is not random: it allows warm air to circulate evenly from bottom to top and the humidity from the four sectors below to evaporate, reaching the eggs, creating the perfect microclimate essential for embryonic development.

💨 As the FIEM manual specifies, air circulation is as crucial as temperature. Hot air rises through the mesh, enveloping each egg evenly, while the moisture evaporating from the trays at the base passes through the grill, maintaining the proper 47-62% ratio needed for the various stages.

⚠️ When should you replace it? If the mesh is broken or warped, compromising the egg holder, if the plastic is bent, creating unevenness, if it's clogged with debris blocking airflow, or after several cycles, when thorough cleaning is required.

💡 The mesh size is designed to hold eggs of various sizes (from quail to goose), always ensuring optimal airflow and humidity. Without this perforated grid, you wouldn't have the necessary ventilation!
