Replace the lid when: cracks or breaks compromise the closure, it no longer latches properly, deformed plastic leaves gaps, damaged fixing points, after work on the gearmotor, for hygiene and renovation purposes.
If it doesn't close: check that the latch points are intact, check for any deformations, and make sure it's the correct model. If damaged, replace.

Remove the old, damaged cover. Clean the edges of the gear motor compartment. Place the new cover, checking alignment. Press until you hear a click. Check for an airtight seal around the entire perimeter.

A customer from Padua called me on the 10th day of incubation: the temperature was constantly fluctuating between 36°C and 36.2°C. After checking, the heating element had lost electrical continuity in one spot. I urgently replaced it with the original FIEM R75E, the temperature stabilized immediately, and the eggs hatched successfully.
When is it needed? If your incubator never reaches the set temperature , or takes too long to heat up, or if the thermostat is always on but the heat doesn't increase, the heating element is probably faulty. Abnormal temperature fluctuations can also indicate a damaged heating element.
⚠️ Before ordering: Unplug the power cord, disconnect the resistor, and measure the electrical resistance with a tester : it should read approximately 505 Ohms (2.06 m × 245 Ohms/m). If it reads "infinity" or significantly different values, the resistor is broken. Also check that there are no cuts, burns, or blackened spots on the wire.

A customer in Rovigo was having strange problems: the drain was constantly shifting, water was pouring out of one side, and the humidity was unstable. Upon inspection, the metal support had warped and was no longer holding the tray in place. The support was replaced, and the problem was solved in 5 minutes.
When is it needed? If the channel moves, wobbles, or doesn't stay in place , the metal support is probably warped, bent, or missing. Even when replacing the channel itself, always check the condition of the support.
