The hinges are the hinges that connect the transparent door to the body of the COSMO incubator. Each incubator has two. They allow the door to open and close smoothly, always maintaining a perfect seal when closed.
A tight seal is essential: if the door doesn't fit properly, the incubator loses heat and humidity. Even a small crack can cause temperature fluctuations and lower humidity by 10-15%, compromising embryo development.

🔍 When to replace this part
Replace the hinges if you notice:
- ✓ Door does not close properly: a visible gap remains between the door and the machine body.
- ✓ Excessive play: The door "dances" or swings when closed.
- ✓ Broken or bent hinge: Visible damage to the metal hinge.
- ✓ Door that "falls" to one side: one of the two hinges has broken and the door is hanging.

- Turn off and unplug the incubator
Remove the plug from the electrical outlet.
- Remove the damaged zipper
Unscrew the screws securing the hinge to the body and door. Hold the door with one hand to prevent it from falling.
- Install the new hinge
Place the new hinge in the same holes and screw it in securely. Don't overtighten to avoid stripping.
- Final test
Open and close the door several times. It should move smoothly and close without any visible gaps.

- ✓ After each cycle: Wipe the zippers with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
