    ⚙️ How the fuse holder works

    The fuse holder is the component that holds the fuse in place and ensures electrical contact between the power supply and the circuit board. Its function is twofold: to mechanically retain the fuse, preventing it from slipping due to vibration, and to ensure optimal electrical conduction through nickel-plated brass contacts that resist oxidation. With prolonged use, the contacts can oxidize, loosen, or break, causing intermittent malfunctions that are difficult to diagnose.

    🔍 When to replace this part

    Replace the fuse holder if you notice:

    • ✓ Intermittent operation: incubator that turns on and off by itself for no reason
    • ✓ Blackened or oxidized contacts: obvious signs of overheating or corrosion
    • ✓ Fuse gets too hot: The fuse holder becomes hot to the touch during use

    Fuse holder deterioration is mainly caused by oxidation of the contacts due to ambient humidity, overheating from high currents or loose contacts that generate electrical resistance, and repeated mechanical vibrations that progressively loosen the contacts. If you continue to use a damaged fuse holder, you risk sudden malfunctions during incubation, localized overheating that can damage the surrounding electronic board, or complete loss of power during critical moments of hatching.

    1. Disconnect from power completely
      Wait 5 minutes for the capacitors to discharge. Remove the fuse from the damaged fuse holder (keep it if intact).
    2. Remove the old fuse holder
      Unscrew the retaining screws (usually 2) holding the fuse holder to the board or panel. Disconnect the electrical wires, noting their locations (take a photo for reference).
    3. Install the new fuse holder
      Connect the wires in the same position as the old fuse holder. Secure with screws, but don't overtighten the plastic. Insert the fuse and check for a perfect seal. Reconnect the power and test the fuse.

        LCD Thermostat Temperature Sensor (old) – The sensor that detects the incubator's internal temperature and allows the LCD thermostat to regulate the heating. This critical component constantly transmits temperature data to the thermostat to maintain the incubator at 37.5-37.7°C.

        When is it needed? If the LCD control unit displays an incorrect or fixed temperature , or the internal temperature fluctuates too much . Even if you see "Err" or "---" on the display, or if the heating element remains always on or always off, ignoring the actual temperature.

        Symptoms of a faulty probe: Displayed temperature stuck on one value, impossible readings, resistor that never turns on or off, sudden temperature fluctuations.
