🔍 When you need this switch
The switch should be replaced when:
- Switch stuck: Does not move or remains in an intermediate position
- Intermittent contact: You have to press it several times before the control unit turns on
- No contact anymore: The control unit does not turn on even though the switch is in the ON position
- It produces sparks: When you press it, you see flashes or hear popping sounds.
- Visibly damaged: Broken, burned, or showing signs of overheating
- Loose Lever: It moves idly without commanding anything

Is the switch really the problem?
- Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet (safety first)
- Check the fuse: Check that the fuse is intact (if it is blown, replace it first)

ATTENTION SAFETY
Electrical work – Requires specific skills
- ALWAYS unplug the appliance before any intervention
- Only work with the device completely turned off and unplugged
- If you are not a qualified electrician → rely on a technician
- The control unit operates at 230V: an error can be dangerous
Replacement procedure (for expert technicians only):
- Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet
- Open the control unit by removing the panel screws
- PHOTOGRAPH the connections before disconnecting any cables
- Note the position of each wire (live, neutral, earth if applicable)
- Disconnect the wires from the switch (faston or terminal screws)
- Remove the old switch from its housing (usually clip or nut type)
- Mount the new RL 34 switch in the same position
- Reconnect the cables exactly as shown in the diagram.
- Check that there are no loose or touching wires.
- Reassemble the control unit panel
- Reconnect the plug and test the operation
💡 Advice from 45 years of experience: Before reassembling everything, test with the panel open (extra caution!) to make sure the switch is working properly. Only then should you close it completely.
