⚙️ How angle guides work
The lateral corner guides are the sliding tracks that guide the clear PVC door as it opens and closes. Their function is to ensure the door follows a precise path without lateral oscillation, evenly distribute the opening/closing forces, avoiding stress points on the PVC, and maintain perfect alignment between the door and frame to ensure a semi-hermetic seal. The guides are designed with an angled shape that hugs the edge of the door on two sides, providing stability and smoothness.
When a guide is damaged, the door becomes misaligned and begins to jam, forcing the door to move, which further accelerates deterioration.
🔍 When to replace this part
This component should be replaced if you notice one or more of these symptoms:
- ✓ Non-fluid movement: door that jams or requires force to open/close
- ✓ Broken or cracked guide: visibly damaged or broken plastic
- ✓ Excessive consumption: deep groove in the plastic where the door slides
- ✓ Misaligned door: it no longer closes flush or leaves drafts at the sides
- ✓ Noises during opening: abnormal squeaking, grinding, or grinding noises
⚠️ Why it happens and what you risk
Wear of the angle guides is mainly caused by repeated friction during opening/closing but above all by impacts.

⚠️ Important note: The guides are NOT interchangeable between CIP 28 and CIP 40 due to the different door sizes. Always check the exact model before ordering. We recommend always replacing the complete pair (L+R) to ensure smooth sliding.
🔧 Assembly in 4 simple steps
⏱ Estimated time: 10-15 minutes | 🔧 Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, soft cloth
- Remove the PVC door
- Remove the old corner guides.
- Install the new guides
Place the new left guide (SX) in its lateral seat, aligning the screw holes. Screw it in partially without tightening completely. Repeat the operation with the right guide (DX). Make sure both are perfectly aligned before tightening the screws completely.
- Reassemble the door and check the sliding
Insert the door into the new guides, sliding it from top to bottom. Open and close the door 4-5 times, checking for smooth, unimpeded movement. If necessary, slightly adjust the position of the guides by loosening and retightening the screws.
🛡️ How to make them last longer
With minimal maintenance you can significantly extend the life of your corner guides:
- ✓ Every 3 months: Clean the guides with a soft, dry cloth, removing any dust or debris that may have accumulated.
- ✓ Every 6 months: Check that the fixing screws are still well tightened and that the guides do not show signs of excessive wear.
- ✓ During use: Always open and close gently without forcing. If the door gets stuck, do not pull with force but check the cause.
- ✓ ⚠️ DO NOT do: Never force the door to open if it gets stuck, do not lubricate the guides with oils or greases that attract dust, do not clean with aggressive solvents
📌 Signs of wear: If you notice that you have to use more and more force to open the door, or that the door no longer slides as smoothly as it did at first, it means that the guides are wearing out and it's time to replace them before they break completely.
