At just €1.90 (excluding VAT) , this component of the Smart model plays a fundamental role in two ways. As you can see in the exploded view (component no. 3), the MORS. cover protects the electrical terminals from humidity and accidental contact, but also serves as a support base for the 17A clip where the 05/A thermometer is inserted.

⚡ This dual function makes it critical: without it, you not only risk short circuits due to the exposed terminals, but you also lose the anchoring point for the temperature reading system. The incubator's constant humidity can seep into the exposed electrical connections, causing malfunctions or worse.

🔧 When should you replace it? If it's cracked or broken, if it's no longer securely attached, if the thermometer clip is no longer securely attached, or if you see signs of overheating on the plastic. A damaged casing compromises both electrical safety and the accuracy of temperature readings.
