A breeder in Treviso contacted me about a strange noise from his CIP 28 incubator: "It sounds like something is scratching the fan blades." Upon opening the incubator, we found the protective mesh was deformed and touching the fan with each rotation. When is it needed? If you notice rubbing noises, the mesh probably needs replacing. Even after aggressive cleaning with corrosive products , or if the mesh appears visibly rusted, deformed, or has loosened meshes, it's time to replace it.
